Six Pack Songwriter Series at The Paramount!
I can hardly believe this show is almost here...on Friday, April 10th I will be taking the stage at the beautiful Paramount Theater in Charlottesville as part of the Six Pack Songwriters All Star Show.
The Six Pack series was conceived and is run by my good friend Jason Burke. How does one even explain Jason Burke? Let me start by saying that he is a talented, terrific, kind, engaged, and engaging guy whom I am very lucky to have in my life. I don't know any one person who does as much for other musicians as he does, from making connections to booking gigs to offering up advice to just being his incredibly supportive self.
So a couple years back, Jason had this idea to put six songwriters on a stage at Rapunzel's, in Lovingston, Virginia, and to create a platform for local musicians. After several successful shows, he moved the show to Charlottesville and The Southern, where it has continued to grow and thrive. Fast forward to a few months ago, when he got an offer to take things up a notch to The Paramount, and was nice enough to ask me to be a part of it.
I will be joined by a stellar lineup including Michael Coleman, Thomas Gunn, Sue Harlow, Justin Storer, and Susan Munson. And we will all be backed on stage by a killer house band headed up by guitarist and song nurturer extraordinaire Rusty Speidel. He'll be joined by Michael Clem (whose work includes the popular band Eddie from Ohio); Chris Holden on keyboards; and Brian Caputo on drums.
To say I can't wait for this night is a huge understatement. If you are anywhere near Central Virginia, I highly recommend checking it out! Tickets are available at www.theparamount.net.
